In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: af_key: initialize alg_key_len for IPComp states pfkey_msg2xfrm_state()… (CVE-2026-64436)CVE-2026-64436 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net: af_key subsystem related to IPComp states was resolved by initializing the alg_key_len field properly. The issue involved uninitialized memory usage in the compression algorithm structure, which could lead to out-of-bounds reads during state migration. This flaw occurs because the compression branch did not initialize alg_key_len, unlike other branches. The vulnerability was fixed by setting alg_key_len to zero, preventing invalid memory access during cloning of IPComp states.
