This flaw can be triggered by specially crafted XML input, leading to denial of service (DoS) through high CPU usage and resource exhaustion. The issue affects certain versions of libexpat before 2.8.3-0.1.hum1 and 1.59.02-4.oe2403sp4. A patch is available to address this vulnerability.
