A denial of service vulnerability (CVE-2024-6501) was found in NetworkManager versions 9.0 up to but not including 9.5. This flaw occurs when NetworkManager is running with DEBUG logs enabled and an interface with LLDP enabled receives a malformed LLDP packet, causing NetworkManager to crash. The impact is rated low because it is unlikely that production systems run NetworkManager with DEBUG logging enabled.
