CVE-2026-16028 is a memory exhaustion vulnerability in Protocol::HTTP2 for Perl versions before 1.14. The issue arises because closed streams are not fully removed from the connection stream table, causing memory to accumulate indefinitely during a connection's lifetime. This can lead to significant memory growth on the server when many streams are opened and closed sequentially.
