It involves a time-of-check to time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in the rrsync restricted shell wrapper, allowing authenticated clients to bypass directory restrictions by substituting symlinks after validation. Attackers can exploit certain unrestricted flags to read or write files outside the allowed directory subtree.
