A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NFC subsystem (llcp_sock_release function) was identified and resolved. The flaw involved improper unlinking of sockets from internal lists depending on their state, potentially leading to memory corruption. This issue has been fixed in updated Linux kernel versions. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.8, indicating high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. No known exploits are reported in the wild. The Linux kernel contained a use-after-free vulnerability in the NFC subsystem's llcp_sock_release() function.
