A medium severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-64090) in the Linux kernel's batman-adv subsystem was fixed by preventing empty VLAN responses in the TT (Translation Table) protocol. The issue involved inconsistent TT TLVLs that could cause TT request storms due to responses sent indirectly via global TT state. The vulnerability has been resolved in Linux kernel version 7.0.0 and later. A patch is available and should be applied through standard system updates.
