A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's md/raid1 and raid10 components was fixed by improving error-path detection with md_cloned_bio(). The previous method relied on r1_bio or r10_bio->read_slot, which could be NULL or -1 after a failed bio resubmission, causing the error path to be unrecognized. This led to incorrect memory allocation flags, potentially causing deadlocks under memory pressure. The issue affects multiple specific versions of the linux-azure kernel.
