A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IB/mlx5 driver was fixed to address a transport domain resource leak caused by failure handling in mlx5_ib_enable_lb(). The fix ensures proper deallocation of the transport domain on error and initializes the loopback mutex earlier in the initialization process.

The vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IB/mlx5 driver involved improper handling of transport domain allocation and rollback. Specifically, mlx5_ib_alloc_transport_domain() allocates a transport domain (TD), but if mlx5_ib_enable_lb() fails, the allocated TD was leaked. The patch fixes this by deallocating the TD when mlx5_ib_enable_lb() returns an error. Additionally, the fix explicitly returns 0 in the no-loopback-capability success branch and moves the initialization of the dev->lb.mutex to an earlier stage (mlx5_ib_stage_init_init()).
