Technical Analysis

The LB-LINK router AC1900_AZ2 V1.0.2 contains a command injection vulnerability in the bs_SetLimitCli_info function of the libshare.so library. An attacker able to send a POST request to /goform/set_LimitClient_cfg can exploit shell metacharacters to execute commands, despite lacking administrative privileges. The CVSS 3.1 score is 3.1, reflecting low severity due to attack vector requiring high privileges and complex conditions.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows limited command injection via a specific POST request, potentially leading to limited integrity and availability impacts. Confidentiality impact is not indicated. Exploitation requires the attacker to have the ability to send the POST request but not administrative access, and the attack complexity is high.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official remediation information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected endpoint and monitor for suspicious POST requests to /goform/set_LimitClient_cfg.
