AI-suggested

The project maintainer has deprecated and taken the project offline. The security flaw was fixed in early development versions and the fix was pushed to a private GitHub repository. No official patches or supported versions are available. Users should discontinue use of Travisun Opptrix 0.4.0 and migrate to alternative solutions.

Description

A flaw has been found in Travisun Opptrix 0.4.0. This affects an unknown function of the file /api/auth/setup of the component Schedule API. This manipulation causes command injection. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project has been completely taken offline and deprecated. The project maintainer explains: "The mentioned security risk was a design flaw that manifested primarily in local environments during earlier stages of version development. We previously addressed and resolved this specific risk; however, because the project was restricted to a small learning scope and the main versions were intended to run exclusively on localhost, the security fix was only pushed directly to our GitHub repository before it went private." This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.

Impact

Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands on affected systems, potentially leading to confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. However, since the project is deprecated and no longer supported, affected products are unlikely to be in active use. No known exploits are reported in the wild.

Summary

CVE-2026-115969 describes a command injection vulnerability in Travisun Opptrix version 0.4.0 affecting the /api/auth/setup endpoint of the Schedule API component. The flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands due to improper input handling. Although the vulnerability was addressed in early development and a fix was committed to a now-private GitHub repository, the project has since been deprecated and taken offline, with no official supported versions remaining. The vulnerability carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 7.3, indicating medium severity.
