AI-suggested

Red Hat has released an official security update in Keycloak version 26.6.8 that addresses this vulnerability along with several others. Users should apply this update promptly to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated in the vendor advisory. Since this is not a cloud service, patching the affected Keycloak installations is required to resolve the vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in Keycloak's first broker login flow allows an attacker controlling an external identity to silently re-establish an account link due to leftover temporary proof not being cleared after linking or unlinking. This can lead to unauthorized access to the victim's account without further confirmation.
