AI-suggested
Currently, no effective mitigation or patch is available that meets Red Hat's criteria for widespread deployment and stability. Administrators should monitor Red Hat advisories for updates. Until a fix is released, mitigating this vulnerability may require manual intervention such as limiting exposure of SAML 1.1 endpoints or applying custom request filtering, though these are not officially recommended by Red Hat.
Description
A vulnerability in Keycloak's SAML 1.1 XML parsing logic causes an infinite loop when unexpected elements appear in a security token's key information section. This flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to trigger 100% CPU usage, resulting in a denial of service that requires a server restart to recover.
