AI-suggested

As per the Red Hat advisory, no effective mitigation or patch is currently available that meets their criteria for deployment and stability. Users should monitor official Red Hat advisories and Keycloak updates for future fixes. Until a fix is released, restricting access to trusted users and minimizing exposure of the UMA Protection API may reduce risk.

Description

A vulnerability in the UserManagedPermissionService of the Keycloak authorization server allows authenticated users to create policies that apply to resources owned by other users. This occurs because the UMA Protection API does not validate the resourceType field during policy creation, potentially enabling unauthorized access or modification of sensitive data within the same realm.
