What to do

AI-suggested

Users should monitor the vendor advisory for updates and avoid processing untrusted .psd files with the vulnerable SAIL Image Decoding Library v0.9.8 until a fix is released.

Description

A memory corruption vulnerability in the PSD Image Decoding functionality of the SAIL Image Decoding Library v0.9.8 allows an attacker to trigger an integer overflow when calculating the stride for decoding a specially crafted .psd file. This leads to a heap-based buffer overflow during image decoding, potentially enabling remote code execution. Exploitation requires convincing the library to process a malicious file.
