Until a fix is released, avoid processing untrusted BMP files with the affected SAIL Image Decoding Library version 0.9.8.
Description
A memory corruption vulnerability in the BMPv3 Palette Decoding functionality of the SAIL Image Decoding Library v0.9.8 allows an attacker to trigger a heap-based buffer overflow via an integer overflow when loading a specially crafted BMP file. This can lead to remote code execution if the library processes such a file.
