Description

CVE-2025-46407 is a high-severity memory corruption vulnerability in the BMPv3 Palette Decoding functionality of the SAIL Image Decoding Library version 0.9.8. It arises from an integer overflow that leads to a heap-based buffer overflow when processing specially crafted BMP files. Successful exploitation requires an attacker to convince the library to load a malicious file, potentially enabling remote code execution.
