Until a fix is available, network-level protections such as filtering or blocking malformed TCP options may help mitigate exploitation. Rebooting the device restores TCP functionality after an attack.
Description
A denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the TCP options parser of the Nut/Net TCP/IP stack used in Nut/OS up to version 5.1. An unauthenticated attacker can send a specially crafted TCP segment with an unknown TCP option length of zero to cause an infinite loop, blocking TCP processing and making TCP services unresponsive until reboot.
