Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-105157 describes a path traversal vulnerability in RainyGao DocSys versions up to 2.02.85. The issue is located in the DocController.doGetTmp function within the /Doc/doGetTmpFile.do endpoint of the Document Controller component. By manipulating the path/fileName argument, an attacker with network access and low privileges can perform path traversal to access files outside the intended directory. The vulnerability has been publicly disclosed, but no patch or vendor response has been issued to date.

Potential Impact

An attacker with low privileges can remotely exploit this vulnerability to read files outside the intended directory structure, potentially exposing sensitive information. The CVSS score of 4.3 reflects limited confidentiality impact and no integrity or availability impact. There is no evidence of active exploitation in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official fix or patch is currently available, and the vendor has not responded to the issue report. Users should monitor vendor advisories for updates. Until a patch is released, consider restricting access to the vulnerable endpoint and applying network-level controls to limit exposure.
