What to do

AI-suggested

Since the vulnerability requires the debug interface to be enabled, disabling or restricting access to the debug interface is a recommended mitigation. Monitor vendor advisories for any forthcoming patches or official fixes.

Description

CVE-2025-41731 is a vulnerability in the password generation algorithm used for accessing a device's debug interface. An unauthenticated local attacker who knows the timeframe of password generation could potentially brute force the password quickly. If successful and if the debug interface remains enabled, the attacker could gain root access to the device.
