AI-suggested
Upgrade aiohttp to version 3.9.2_1 or later, where the issue is fixed. The patch restores correct host-only cookie behavior after persistence. No other mitigation is indicated or necessary.
Description
A vulnerability in aiohttp's CookieJar causes host-only cookies to lose their host-only status after being saved and restored using CookieJar.save() and CookieJar.load(). This results in cookies that should be restricted to a specific host being sent to subdomains, potentially exposing them to unintended recipients. The issue affects versions from 3.4.2 up to but not including 3.9.2_1. A patch is available in version 3.9.2_1.
