An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in Samba's Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) password change (kpasswd) service. The flaw occurs when processing malformed ASN.1-encoded Kerberos password change requests, causing the server to read beyond the allocated buffer. This typically results in a decryption failure but can cause the KDC process to crash if unmapped memory is accessed.
