Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted KWAJ files or restrict usage to trusted sources only.

Description

A vulnerability exists in libmspack through version 0.11alpha used by ClamAV, where the kwajd_open() function improperly frees uninitialized pointers on header read errors. This can be triggered by supplying malformed KWAJ files, potentially causing process crashes or arbitrary memory corruption.
