Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-18423 describes an IDOR vulnerability in Concrete CMS versions 9.0.0 through 9.5.2 affecting the Express saved search preset delete and edit dialogs. This flaw allows an authenticated user with limited permissions (view only on one Express entity) to permanently delete or rename saved search presets owned by other Express entities without authorization. The renamed preset name is displayed to users of the targeted entity, which could facilitate defacement or social engineering attacks. The vulnerability was reported by Yalguun Tumenkhuu and assigned a CVSS v4.0 score of 2.1, indicating low severity.

Potential Impact

An authenticated user with view permission on a single Express entity can delete or rename saved search presets for other entities without permission. This unauthorized modification is permanent with no undo option. Renamed presets are displayed to users of the targeted entity, which may lead to defacement or social engineering. The impact is limited by the requirement for authenticated access and the low CVSS score.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or remediation information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict authenticated user permissions carefully and monitor for unauthorized changes to saved search presets.
