Until a fix is available, restrict access to the local network to trusted devices to prevent on-link attackers from sending malicious DHCPv6 messages.
Description
ConnMan versions through 2.0 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the DHCPv6 Reply message processing. The flaw exists in the get_domains function in gdhcp/client.c, where a fixed-size buffer is overflowed by copying a large DOMAIN_LIST option without proper length checks. An unauthenticated on-link attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted Router Advertisement and DHCPv6 Reply, causing connmand (running as root) to crash.
