AI-suggested
A security update is available and should be applied promptly. Upgrade fence-agents to version 4.10.0-110.el9_8.8 or later to remediate these vulnerabilities. Refer to the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:94500 for detailed update instructions. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official patch.
Description
The fence-agents package, used for remote power management in cluster environments, contains multiple critical authentication bypass vulnerabilities in its pyjwt dependency. These flaws include acceptance of empty HMAC keys, improper public key validation, and token forgery via Unicode byte-order mark mishandling. These issues could allow attackers to bypass authentication mechanisms. A security update fixing these vulnerabilities is available in fence-agents version 4.10.0-110.el9_8.8.
