Technical Analysis

CVE-2024-10531 is a missing authorization vulnerability (CWE-862) in the Kognetiks Chatbot for WordPress plugin. The update_assistant() function lacks a capability check, enabling authenticated users with minimal privileges (subscriber-level or above) to update GTP assistants. This could lead to unauthorized modification of chatbot data. The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 2.1.7.
