What to do
AI-suggested
To mitigate CVE-2024-25214, organizations should immediately implement input validation and parameterized queries to prevent SQL Injection attacks. If vendor patches become available, they must be applied promptly. In the absence of patches, deploying Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) with rules specifically targeting SQL Injection payloads on the /alogin.html endpoint can help block exploitation attempts. Restricting access to the login page via IP whitelisting or VPN can reduce exposure. Conducting thorough code reviews and penetration testing focused on authentication mechanisms is recommended to identify and remediate similar vulnerabilities. Additionally, monitoring logs for unusual login attempts or injection patterns can provide early detection of exploitation attempts. Organizations should also enforce strong network segmentation and least privilege principles to limit the impact of any successful breach.
Description
An issue in Employee Managment System v1.0 allows attackers to bypass authentication via injecting a crafted payload into the E-mail and Password parameters at /alogin.html.
