Upgrade Cacti to version 1.2.27 or later, which contains the official fix for this SQL injection vulnerability. No other mitigation or temporary workaround is indicated.

Description

CVE-2024-31460 is a SQL injection vulnerability in Cacti prior to version 1.2.27. The flaw exists because data in automation_tree_rules.php is insufficiently validated before being concatenated into a SQL statement in the create_all_header_nodes() function. This allows attackers with limited privileges to modify the Cacti database contents, potentially leading to further impacts such as arbitrary file reading and remote code execution. The issue is fixed in version 1.2.27.
