Until a fix is available, consider limiting mirrored response sizes or disabling response mirroring if feasible to mitigate the risk of resource exhaustion.
Description
CVE-2024-34364 is a medium severity vulnerability in Envoy proxy versions up to 1.30.1 that allows uncontrolled resource consumption leading to out-of-memory (OOM) conditions. The issue arises because the async HTTP client buffers mirrored responses using an unbounded buffer, which can exhaust system memory.
