What to do
AI-suggested
Organizations should immediately audit their use of Gladinet CentreStack to identify affected versions. Until official patches are released, implement strict input validation and sanitization on the login page, particularly for the username field, to neutralize LDAP special characters and injection payloads. Employ Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) with custom rules to detect and block suspicious LDAP query patterns. Restrict network access to CentreStack login interfaces to trusted IP ranges and enforce multi-factor authentication to reduce risk. Monitor logs for unusual LDAP query activity or failed login attempts indicative of injection attempts. Engage with Gladinet support for updates and apply patches promptly once available. Additionally, conduct security awareness training for administrators and users to recognize potential exploitation signs. Consider deploying intrusion detection systems (IDS) tuned for LDAP injection indicators and perform regular security assessments to verify mitigation effectiveness.
Description
An LDAP injection vulnerability in the login page of Gladinet CentreStack v13.12.9934.54690 allows attackers to access sensitive data or execute arbitrary commands via a crafted payload injected into the username field.
