What to do
AI-suggested
To mitigate CVE-2024-42761, organizations should implement strict input validation and output encoding on the scheduleDurationPHP parameter and all user-supplied inputs within the /admin_schedule.php page. Employing a robust Content Security Policy (CSP) can help limit the impact of any injected scripts. Regularly updating and patching the Kashipara Bus Ticket Reservation System when vendor fixes become available is critical. In the absence of official patches, applying web application firewalls (WAFs) with custom rules to detect and block malicious payloads targeting this parameter can reduce risk. Additionally, educating administrative users about the dangers of clicking on untrusted links or content can minimize successful exploitation. Conducting security code reviews and penetration testing focused on XSS vulnerabilities in the system will help identify and remediate similar issues. Logging and monitoring for suspicious activities related to scheduleDurationPHP parameter usage can provide early detection of exploitation attempts.
Description
