AI-suggested
To mitigate CVE-2024-45920, organizations should implement the following specific measures: 1) Apply any available patches or updates from Solvait as soon as they are released, prioritizing the 'Intrest' feature fixes. 2) Conduct a thorough review and hardening of input validation and output encoding mechanisms within the application, particularly focusing on user-supplied data in the vulnerable feature. 3) Employ Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts and reduce the impact of potential XSS payloads. 4) Limit user privileges to the minimum necessary to reduce the likelihood of exploitation by low-privileged users. 5) Educate users about the risks of interacting with untrusted content and implement monitoring to detect anomalous script execution or suspicious user behavior. 6) Use web application firewalls (WAFs) with custom rules targeting known XSS patterns in Solvait traffic to provide an additional layer of defense. 7) Regularly audit and test the application for XSS and other injection vulnerabilities using automated and manual security testing tools.
Description
A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Solvait 24.4.2 allows remote attackers to inject malicious scripts into the application. This issue arises due to insufficient input validation and sanitization in "Intrest" feature.
