Description
CVE-2024-46804 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/amd/display subsystem. It involves a missing array index check for HDCP DDC access, which could lead to out-of-bounds access. This flaw was identified by Coverity static analysis and fixed by adding proper validation of the message ID and array index. Multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 5.15.0-1072.78~20.04.1 and several specific older versions are affected. The vulnerability has been addressed in updated kernel releases.
