A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a kernel version that includes this fix. Since no specific fixed versions are listed, check the vendor or kernel release notes for the patch. No other mitigations are indicated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter IPv6 reject function (nf_reject_ipv6) could cause a kernel crash due to improper handling of the Ethernet header length. This issue occurs when dev->hard_header_len is zero, leading to a crash in the nf_send_reset6() function. The flaw has been identified and fixed by using LL_MAX_HEADER consistently.
