CVE-2024-50256 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter IPv6 rejection code where a potential crash occurs in the nf_send_reset6() function. The issue arises because the code attempts to push an Ethernet header when dev->hard_header_len is zero, leading to a kernel crash. This has been fixed by using LL_MAX_HEADER consistently as in other related functions.
