What to do

AI-suggested

To mitigate CVE-2024-54919, organizations should implement strict input validation and output encoding on the filename parameter in /teacher_avatar.php to prevent injection of malicious scripts. Employing a whitelist approach for allowed characters in filenames and sanitizing inputs before storage is critical. Additionally, applying Content Security Policy (CSP) headers can help reduce the impact of any injected scripts by restricting script execution sources. Regularly updating the Kashipara E-learning Management System and monitoring vendor advisories for patches is essential once fixes become available. User education on phishing and suspicious links can reduce the risk of successful exploitation. Implementing web application firewalls (WAFs) with rules targeting XSS payloads can provide an additional layer of defense. Finally, conducting periodic security assessments and code reviews focusing on input handling will help identify and remediate similar vulnerabilities proactively.

Description
