What to do
AI-suggested
To mitigate this vulnerability, organizations should immediately implement strict input validation and output encoding on the my_message parameter to prevent injection of malicious scripts. Employing Content Security Policy (CSP) headers can reduce the impact of XSS by restricting script execution sources. User input should be sanitized server-side using well-established libraries or frameworks that neutralize HTML and JavaScript code. Additionally, restricting the privileges of users who can send messages and monitoring message content for suspicious patterns can help reduce risk. Educating users about the risks of clicking on unexpected links or executing scripts in messages is also important. Finally, organizations should monitor security advisories for updates or patches from the vendor and apply them promptly once released.
