Description

CVE-2024-56783 addresses a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter nft_socket component where an unnecessary WARN_ON_ONCE warning was triggered related to the maximum cgroup level. The default maximum cgroup depth is INT_MAX, but a toggle exists to restrict this depth to avoid performance issues. The vulnerability involves the presence of this warning, which is reachable from userspace.
