A fix is available in SurrealDB version 2.0.4 and later. Users should upgrade to version 2.0.4 or above to remediate this vulnerability. Until upgraded, users should restrict database access to trusted users only.
Description
SurrealDB versions before 2.0.4 have an improper authorization vulnerability that allows authorized users to bypass field-level permissions during SELECT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations. Attackers can use various query techniques to access protected field values without having explicit SELECT permissions. This flaw affects version 0 and is rated high severity with a CVSS score of 7.1.
