Technical Analysis

The Royal Elementor Addons and Templates plugin for WordPress contains an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) in versions up to 1.3.986. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level privileges or above to access data from password-protected posts through the data_fetch mechanism. The vulnerability does not require user interaction and has a low attack complexity. It impacts confidentiality but does not affect integrity or availability.

Potential Impact

An attacker with subscriber-level access can extract sensitive information from password-protected posts that should otherwise be restricted. This exposure compromises confidentiality but does not impact data integrity or availability. The vulnerability could lead to unauthorized disclosure of protected content within affected WordPress sites using this plugin.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict subscriber-level access to trusted users only and consider disabling or limiting the use of the affected plugin to reduce risk.
