Until a fix is available, avoid triggering device shutdown or reboot sequences on affected systems if possible. Monitor vendor communications for updates and apply official fixes once released.
Description
CVE-2025-21668 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel affecting the imx8mp-blk-ctrl power management domain driver. The flaw is due to a missing loop break condition in the imx8mp_blk_ctrl_remove() function, which causes the for loop to continue until an out-of-bounds exception occurs. This results in a denial of service (DoS) condition by crashing the kernel during device shutdown or reboot sequences.
