AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been released in Linux kernel versions 6.8.0-1046.49~22.04.1 and later. Users should update to these fixed kernel versions to remediate the issue. The vendor advisory confirms the availability of fixes and recommends applying the updates. No additional mitigations are specified or required beyond applying the official patches.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net: libwx component caused incorrect handling of Tx L4 checksum offload flags for protocols other than TCP, UDP, and SCTP. This bug could cause the transmit ring to hang due to unsupported hardware offload attempts. The issue has been fixed by computing software checksums for these packets instead.
