AI-suggested

A patch is available and has been released in Linux kernel versions 6.8.0-1050.53~22.04.1 and later. Users should update to these fixed kernel versions to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official kernel updates.

Description

CVE-2025-22106 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vmxnet3 network driver where the XDP receive queue info is not properly unregistered during the reset path. This causes warning messages and backtraces due to missing cleanup operations. The issue is fixed by moving the unregister code to a proper cleanup function. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 6.8.0-1050.53~22.04.1 and similar builds, and has been addressed in updated kernel releases.
