A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to resolve this issue. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this and other kernel vulnerabilities have been fixed. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions as per their distribution's security notices.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iwlwifi driver was resolved to prevent unnecessary warnings when firmware errors occur. Specifically, the function iwl_trans_reclaim would warn if called when the firmware was not alive, but it should silently return if there is a pending restart after a firmware error. This issue has been fixed in updated Linux kernel versions.
