AI-suggested
- Immediate mitigation should include implementing strict input validation and output encoding on the 'id' parameter within /members/edit.php to neutralize malicious scripts.
- Employ Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts in the browser context.
- Use HTTP-only and Secure flags on cookies to reduce the risk of session hijacking.
- Conduct a thorough code review of the miniTCG application to identify and remediate other potential injection points.
- 6. Implement web application firewalls (WAF) with rules tailored to detect and block XSS payloads targeting the 'id' parameter. 7. Educate users about phishing risks and encourage the use of multi-factor authentication (MFA) to mitigate account takeover risks. 8. Monitor logs for unusual activity related to /members/edit.php and the 'id' parameter to detect exploitation attempts early.
Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in miniTCG v1.3.1 beta allows attackers to execute abritrary web scripts or HTML via injecting a crafted payload into the id parameter at /members/edit.php.
