AI-suggested

To mitigate CVE-2025-60458, organizations should monitor for patches or updates from UxPlay developers and apply them promptly once available. In the absence of patches, restrict RTSP access using network segmentation and firewall rules to limit exposure to trusted internal networks only. Employ intrusion detection or prevention systems to monitor for anomalous RTSP TEARDOWN requests. Disable or remove UxPlay if it is not essential to reduce attack surface. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests focusing on RTSP services. Educate network administrators about this vulnerability to ensure rapid response to suspicious activity. Consider implementing rate limiting on RTSP requests to reduce the risk of denial of service. Maintain up-to-date asset inventories to identify all UxPlay instances for targeted remediation.

Description

UxPlay 1.72 contains a double free vulnerability in its RTSP request handling. A specially crafted RTSP TEARDOWN request can trigger multiple calls to free() on the same memory address, potentially causing a Denial of Service.
