AI-suggested
- Implement strict input validation and output encoding on the 'Name' parameter within the Business Line Management module to prevent injection of malicious scripts.
- Employ Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts in browsers.
- Conduct regular code reviews and security testing focusing on XSS vulnerabilities, especially in modules handling user input.
- Educate users and administrators about phishing risks and safe browsing practices to reduce the likelihood of triggering malicious payloads.
- Monitor web application logs for unusual input patterns or repeated injection attempts targeting the vulnerable parameter.
- If possible, isolate or restrict access to the affected module to trusted networks until a patch is available.
- Engage with the vendor or development team to expedite the release of a security patch addressing this vulnerability.
- Consider deploying Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) with custom rules to detect and block XSS payloads targeting the vulnerable parameter.
