What to do
AI-suggested
- Implement strict input validation on the model_desc field to disallow or sanitize potentially malicious characters and scripts before storage.
- Apply proper output encoding/escaping when rendering the model_desc content in web pages to prevent script execution.
- Employ Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts in the browser context.
- Conduct regular security code reviews and penetration testing focusing on user input handling and XSS vulnerabilities.
- Educate developers and administrators about secure coding practices related to XSS prevention.
- Monitor logs and user reports for suspicious activity or unexpected script execution.
- If possible, isolate or restrict access to the affected application components to reduce exposure.
- Stay updated on vendor patches or security advisories for AIxBlock and apply them promptly once available.
Description
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in AIxBlock commit 04f305 allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via injecting a crafted payload into the model_desc field.
