AI-suggested

A patch is available and should be applied to affected linux-azure kernel versions. The Ubuntu advisory USN-8094-1 confirms that the vulnerability has been fixed in updated kernel packages. Users should update to the fixed versions to mitigate this issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

A null pointer dereference vulnerability (CVE-2025-68379) in the Linux kernel's RDMA/rxe subsystem was fixed. The flaw occurs when ibv_modify_srq() is called twice in succession under certain error conditions, leading to a crash due to dereferencing a null pointer. This vulnerability can cause a denial of service by crashing the kernel. The issue affects specific linux-azure kernel versions prior to 6.8.0-1051.51~22.04.1 and similar builds. A patch is available to address this vulnerability.
